Scopus Implementation Meeting June 25, 1996
Attending: Lane, Oh, Pakulat, Rosen, Saylor, Wade, Willis
Agenda
1. 1.0b3 Testing, Expectations and Process
2. On-going Tasks and Resources
3. Next Steps
1. 1.0b3 Testing, Expectations and Process
- Most (95+%) of the critical and "easy fix" items identified from
last week's testing of 1.0b2 have been completed.
- Pre-requisite for 1.0b3 testing is the import of the Filemaker
database into Scopus.
- As compared to the Functional Specification, it is believed we have
met the initial intent with the exception of the "thaw" automation.
- Issues:
- When to test
- Tooltime team to test this week, hopefully by Friday,
the Filemaker data will be available.
- Starting next week (Tuesday, July 2), the helpstaff will test
- How to test
- Bryn will create a template of information to be sent to
the Help Desk staff (helpstaff@mit.edu).
- Feedback
- helpstaff will be asked to send information within a day or
two after testing (if testing goes as planned and starts on July 2,
then feedback needs to be completed by end of day July 3).
- Assessment will occur during next tooltime meeting, July 9.
- John expressed a concern that the netinstall information needs to
be reviewed further. John has taken the action item to review the
functions against the Functional Specification and send comments if there
are questions, issues or other needs. The team will then need to asses
those items.
- Question: If this is the last beta release and thus the last chance
to send in comments?
Until we see the feedback on 1.0b3, we will not know if this is the last
release. It should be close to a last release as we compare the release to
the Functional Specification, determine it's value against the business and
asses the operational stability of the application.
2. On-going tasks and resources:

Created first model, identified need to
