Hi,
I was trying to do some queries, and I ran into a few problems.
1) I was unable to find our variables in Data Probe. Will they be
available for release 1? I think that this tool will be very useful,
particularly as we get the tool up to speed.
2) There is nor "or" function in Data Probe, at least not one that I could
find. An "or" function is vital to do SQL queries, particularly ones
useful to the desk. Is it possible to do "or" accross screens (as in the
"new request" function withing Filemaker)?
3) Where do I type in straight SQL queries? I know SQL and I'd like to
type in my request directly once I've worked out the logic on paper. I
couldn't find this option.
4) being able to run reports to do these queries isn't an acceptable
solution, as I currently understand reports. I want to find a selection of
logs and then be able to view the logs or at the very least print out the
log #, queue, status and summary fields (this would be a release one
work-around only).
on a separate issue, I went into the report writer and double clicked on a
report - hoping it would give me useful information, and it froze Scopus.
Perhaps these bogus reports could be removed so that they don't do "bad"
things.
