Paligo's integrated versioning is very slick. It coordinates versions at
the publication and topic level.
A version control system for documentation should support locking topics so
only one person can edit at a time. Subversion does. Git doesn't.
Git was designed with no thought for anyone but programmers, who
necessarily have to work on shared files at the same time. Tech writers
don't.
