Lambton College in Sarnia, Ontario CANADA is offering an
excellent set of SAP certified courses.
They have a homepage at
www.lambton.on.ca

Here is a snippet from some older info I have....

Lambton College of Applied Arts & Technology is offering its first SAP
Canada's ABAP/4 Certification Program August 19 - September 13, 1996.
Due to the overwhelming response received, two more sessions have
been scheduled for September 30 - October 25 and November 11 -
December 6, 1996.

Lambton College is the first educational institution to join SAP
Canada's Education Alliance Program, a new initiative to provide
SAP product training at Canadian colleges and universities. The
new program offers members of the general public a vehicle for
learning SAPS R/3 family of client/server applications - one of the
most popular business software packages in the market today.

ABAP/4 PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The ABAP/4 Certification program is a 4-week intensive training
program focusing on SAP's programming language ABAP/4. It will
prepare an individual to interface with the SAP R/3 System at the
Basis level. The curriculum contains elements of courses that are
essential to develop and maintain user written queries and provide
support at the functional level.

The topics include:

Architecture - overview of SAP R/3 System architecture and
functions of the SAP BASIS System. Introduces the technical
environment, interfaces, services in the system kernel,
communication & data interfaces, application modules.

Correction & Transport - subjects are: concepts and terms of
the Workbench Organizer, transport system, working with the
Workbench Organizer, customer development, carrying out
       transports, utilities.

Authorization Concepts - architecture of the SAP authorization
concept, maintaining and activating authorizations, profiles,
user master records, authorizations in the applications,
general authorization objects, defining your own authorization
       objects, help tools.

Data Dictionary - includes data dictionary objects, data
modeling tools, repository information system, ABAP/4
       dictionary, tables, relational databases.

Introduction to ABAP/4 Programming - This course will give
the student an understanding of the ABAP/4 Workbench, data
dictionary, tables, function modules, subroutines, and
reporting. Also covered are debugging, authorizations,
       dialog programming and SQL.

ABAP/4 Data Interfaces - Participants will learn techniques
to transfer data to and from the R/3 system. The topics
are: generating ABAP/4 programs for background processing,
generating and reading sequential files, file transfer using
       batch-input.

Dialog Report Programming - you will learn to develop dialog
programs using advanced techniques in Screen Painter and Menu
Painter, table control, programmed on-line help and dynamic
screen modification. This section also introduces the SAP
locking concept and the components used to make internal
       and external calls.

Introduction to On-line Programming - This section covers
the basic techniques for developing dialog applications for
R/3. Using the Workbench, students will learn to use Screen
Painter, Menu Painter, the module pool and integration of the
Data Dictionary. Other topics are testing input data,
programming transactions, dynamic screen sequence and
       modifications.

Advanced Techniques of On-line Programming - As a follow on
to the above section, the student will learn to use advanced
techniques to develop dialog applications. The topics include
step-loop dynamic programs, linking dialog and list processing,
modularization using dialog and function modules.

This program will include homework in the evening and may require
weekend work as well. Access to the computer lab is available at
night and on weekends.

COMING FALL/WINTER 1996:

Business Process Training

Lambton College will have access to all the new R/3 Release 3.0
training material developed by SAP. The new training is organized
around core business processes (customer order management or
procurement) rather than application modules (SD - Sales or
MM - Materials Management). To make learning more efficient,
core critical processes have been identified through extensive
analysis of the SAP R/3 business processes used by customers.
These critical processes are logically organized for new
learners who want to know how to successfully apply the R/3
System to core business processes. This approach, based on
proven adult learning theory, offers the potential to accelerate
learning, to improve knowledge retention, and to maximize the
investment in training.

                Series Courses Duration of Time

       Customer Order Management 1 Week
       (Introductory and Intermediate)

       Procurement 1 Week
       (Introductory and Intermediate)

       Manufacturing Planning 1 Week
       (Introductory and Intermediate)

Manufacturing Execution - Discrete 1 Week
       (Introductory and Intermediate)

       Financial/Management
         Accounting & Reporting 1 Week
         (Introductory and Intermediate)

The introductory material in the SAP R/3 Release 3.0 curriculum
presents the big picture. Participants are given a comprehensive
view of the features and functions of the SAP R/3 System.

The intermediate material gives participants the skills they need to
apply SAP R/3 to their own company's business processes. Each course
begins with a walk through of the core critical processes.
Participants use SAP R/3 tools and reference aids during case study
activities to learn more about the critical processes. Participants
thus gain proficiency by modeling the SAP R/3 System based on the
requirements of a case company.
