Tom,
Every developer needs to have a key in order to create and modify ABAP
code. If you have a connection to OSS you can get one by clicking the
Registration button (enter your SAP login name and click register again) or
call the SAP hotline -- they'll be able to give you an ID there and then.
You will only need to enter it the first time you create or change an ABAP
-- after that, it's saved permanently.
