There are various ways to get to SAPnet as already mentioned in previous
replies.
http://sapnet.sap-ag.de will redirect you either to https://www001.sap-ag.de
or https://www002.sap-ag.de
The last two sites are so called Secure sites (you can see this from the "s"
behind http).
You not only need to an OSS user-id and password, but your browser also
needs to be configured to understand the security protocol.
Depending on the browser that you are using you will find the Certificate
settings under Options or Properties.
Usually you can see by a broken key or an open lock that you are on an
insecure site.
SAP is using US RSA Data Security Inc. as their secure server certification
authority.
The security protocol is PCT 1.0
Encryption type is RC4 with 40 bit encryption
Hash type MD5 with 128 bit hash key
Key exchange RSA with 512 bit exchange

You probably won't need all these details. Select the security setting in
your browser and mark the RSA certificates.

The saptech site is an interesting site as well, but has no direct
connections to SAPnet or OSS.

Hope this helps
