I think that the Big Area for 1997 will be the Internet/Intranet
functionality. Unfortunately I was not able to attend Sapphire so
didn't get the benefit of those presentations. My concern in this
area is security. We run a B I G risk by opening up our business
systems to the Internet. Even with firewalls and security schemes
there are alot of hackers waiting to try and get into the best
business software on the market.
Having said all of that I think that this same functionality will be
a big boon to implementing the system within a company (Intranet). It
opens up options for the occasional, inquiry, and/or mobile user that
traditionally are not available.
