We're pre-implementation right now, planning to install R/3 starting
in Jan, 98. We are doing hardware/vendor/db selection. We'd like
to be able to use SQL Server rather than Oracle due to what we
believe to be its lower costs, but are having trouble finding
live R/3 implementations using SQL Server to support reasonable
transaction volumes (8000-10000 db transactions daily)?
Has anyone used R/3 with SQL Server on NT with transaction volumes
this high or higher? If so, how is performance and reliability?
Is the lack of row-level locking an issue?
