I'm new to SAP and ABAP and I would like some advice about it. My
employers have integrated SAP within the organisation over the past 2
years in conjunction with a consultant. We require some reports to be
written but management are astounded by the charges being estimated to
create these. They have suggested that I should become proficient in
ABAP to create these reports.
I'm sure management think that I can just easily pick up ABAP in a
matter of weeks and I'll be able to save them a small fortune. I think
this is unrealistic and they don't have a clue! Just how easy would it
be for me to come in with no experience of SAP or ABAP and begin to
produce reports? I have experience using ASP, Visual Basic, PHP,
Access, SQL Server all to a good level but by no means to the highest
standard. They have turned me into a "jack of all trades and master of
none" which is really frustrating for me now. Could you suggest a
starting point for somebody in my shoes?
I just think that they are asking way too much of me. Would this be the
verdict of the members of the forum?
Thanks...
