I did ask the question previously to many Basis guys. All of them gave me
the same answer: Unix.
It's more scalable more reliable and is easier to manage from a Basis point
of view. But again it depends on your requirements. If the user base is not
important and it's a small project, NT is OK.
The alternative might be to outsource it. It runs great and you're always
sure to have somebody competent to help you.
