I have two points for this response:
1) Echo session is still used, there is just no button for it anymore.
You have to type =slon in the command field and click on the user and
hit enter and this will turn on echo session. To turn it off, type
=slof and click on the user and hit enter.
2) As far as logical databases, stay away from them.
