However each time it fails the most important factor is poor project management and has nothing to do with SAP. The other factor in failing is poor knowledge transfer. Both combined will make the project fail. Having said that I did install SAP and the PPPI module in several plants with the connection to their shop floor machines in global projects involvingmultiple times zones, languages and high turnover with around 400 batches a day in some cases. And It does work great. But it's not true that SAP is not made for the plants. I can give you a lot of examples.
