The coding block itself is the FI module transactional input structure
(structure BBSEG or user-defined if so chosen). All modules that post
data to FI will have a revision of this structure in part. The
respective structures will contain a subset of the BBSEG structure.
Now, there is also a customer include, CI_COBL, that allows customer
defined fields to be added to the coding block (OXK3). I am in the
midst of a substantial effort to undo the bastardization of several CO
data elements by virtue of the creation and addition of user-defined
data elements to the coding block. These fields then become available
for additional account assignment in modules that feed FI.
If you're looking for coding block in the sense of adding custom
fields, OXK3 is what you're looking for. If you need step by step
directions, including issues and customization requirements, contact
me and we can discuss in more detail.
