I am a member of a company that will soon be deciding whether to transition
to SAP. We are in a very unusual business (aren't they all?) and don't
expect that a vanilla solution will fit us well. I have heard that the
moment you start specifying custom code, the possibility of catastrophically
failing with SAP goes up greatly, and the cost goes up greatly as well.

What is the concensus opinion out here on SAP's adaptability? Is it worth
the heartache?

Thanks,

Kevin
