Many of the other functions are available on SAPNet-web, which
you can access via your internet connection and browser.
With SAPNet-web, all you need are your OSS user-id and password.
Using SAPNet-web functions will save fone costs. Just use the
SAPNet-R/3 (OSS) connection only for the stuff that can only
be done via the service connetion.
The SAProuter at SAP needs to know the IP address of your SAProuter.
This is part of the security authentication.
But your SAProuter does not have to be on the server that SAP R/3 is
running on. It can be on a standalone computer.
As you change the IP address on your SAP servers, you need to update
the route table for your SAProuter.
I think you also need to update SAP of the IP address change.
But this is for system info reasons.
good luck..gary
