Look at ITS (Internet Transaction Server).

It translates SAPGUI to HTTP and vice versa.

There is a set of transactions supported by SAP.
If you need a new transaction you can write your own
IAC (internet application component), which basically is
SAP Transaction, which provides data and logic,
and an HTML template, which is design.

New: there is Webgui which is able to translate any SAP
transaction in a nice design - basically just runs SAP via
Browser. Still a bit shaky though... (You can have a testdrive
at https://pgwwebgui.sap-ag.de/ ).

You can also write your own RFC's or use the SAP Business
Connector to do the same e.g. via XML.
