Are you aware of the ability to create RFC's (remote function calls)
from within SAP? If you define the function as rfc enabled, you can call
from an external program and pass data back and forth. We have two
applications that are using this technique.
BTW, you can generate the C stubs from with SAP and even a sample
program to test your call.
