SAP R3INST problem on AIX 3.2

SAP installation program R3INST 3.0e fails upon execution, complaining
about not finding shr4.o. I'm aware of the differences between the
shr4.o implementation on AIX 3.2.5 and 4.1. Executables linked on 4.1 with
the 4.1 shr4.o version will not execute on 3.2. But when I check the R3INST
binary with the file command, it shows version 3.1. Any help, thoughts, or
suggestions would be appreciated.
