The SAP Office e-mail is configurable via SMTP to communicate with
Lotus Notes. We use Lotus Notes as our primary e-mail system, and
use SAP e-mail only to route messages originating from R/3 to the
recipient on Notes. The user profile in SAP is set up to forward mail
to the user's Lotus Notes internet format address. It's not too hard
if you have access to a person who understands internet mail, Lotus
Notes mail, and a little bit of SAP R/3.
We are currently on SAP R/3 3.0E, and are tesing 3.1G, there doesn't
appear to be any barriers to doing the same thing in 3.1G as we are
doing in 3.0E.
