I am a certified SAP R/3 Basis Consultant....(TCC - Technical Certified
Consultant). There are three multiple choice exams that make up the
certification...a two hour exam on SAP R/3, a one hour exam on SAP R/3 and
the operating system (UNIX or NT), and a one hour exam on SAP R/3 and the
database (currently on Oracle). You must pass all three to get certified.

There is not one course you can take. You must have *at least* 6 months
hands on experience and have taken a variety of courses. I *think* SAP is
now offering a 4 week course that is a grouping several of the technical
courses back to back.

I think the exam is open to anyone but I am not sure. In the US, the exam
is only offered at the SAP Training Academy in Waltham, Mass.
