Lockheed Martin Vought Systems (LMVS) is planning to use SAP's Business
Information Warehouse. Does the use of warehouse change the requirements
for archiving? For our initial implementation, we are only planning to
archive off transactions if the database begins to max out at 100 gigabytes
(we are using Oracle7). There will be no workflow-related imaging
archiving except for some SAP reports. Since we are going to use SAP BIW
on a separate server, of course, is there a need to have an archive server
running an HMS system like FileNet or IXOS?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
