Although at the moment not active with SAP, I worked with the authorisation
generator quite a lot the first months of this year. We used it in our
FI/CO/MM/PS/PM/HR implementation as the tool for making the authorisation
profiles. As a basis we had the SAP-guidebook "Authorisation made easy"
which can be obtained from the web-site of the American SAP-lab (as I'm not
mistaken www.saplabs.com).
We used it under version 3.0F (where some possibilities were not possible to
use, but that was in the documentation). What me frustrated was (especially
under HR, but also at other places) the interaction between the profile
generator and the implemented SAP-modules. Some implementation steps
interfered with the way we would like to authorise our users. This is
something you need to watch out for.
