Hi J. Michael,

Have you thought of using the Document Management function?

You would create a "Document" on Word or some other format and then you can
attach this to the material master record (Check the Document option from the
Mat Master menu). Then you should find this is a more flexible place than the
Item PO text. The other alternative is to just add another text element  to the
PO line in Config. You can then use this and leave your Item Text line
available for other uses.
