Has anyone attempted to put classification data for a material on the
SAPScript for Purchase Orders? My client is beginning to use the
classification view of material masters to assign specification information
(e.g. manufacturer, part numbers, specific characteristics such as pressure
rating, size, etc) to materials. We'd like this info to flow over to a PO.
One thought we have is to copy the classification data into the Purchasing
text view of the material (using the function module
CH_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS) and appropriate text functions. That way the
material classification data would eventually end up on the PO. However,
this approach precludes the use of Purchasing Text view for any other
purpose.
Thoughts, ideas anyone?
