Do you mean MaxDB, the database management system formerly known
as SAP DB formerly known as ADABAS D? Then it's actually not the
database but the "X Server" that allows networked connections. See

06/frameset.htm> for more information. Follow the link named
"Ports and Protocols of the X Server" to find what you are looking
for. Also, there is a mailing list for MaxDB support, when it is
used with non-SAP applications. If you are an SAP customer, feel
free to ask SAP Support.
