is a good place to look for books, they give you detailed descriptions

To get a complete list of messages for a BAPI goto transaction BAPI,
there switch the tab to 'Alphabetical' look for your BAPI (in this
case 'IncomingInvoice') and choose the method (in this case 'Create
from Data') then click on the parameter 'Return' (Standard name for
return parameters) and choose the tab 'Documentation' on the right.
There you will find all return messages.
