Hi.

Please advise why it does not make sense. From my understanding and
readups, i realized that stuff under /oracle for the SAP Oracle upgrade
are not really necessariy for the successul operations of SAP and
Oracle.

In regards to the failing over, 2 things that are concern

1) /oracle/SID
2) /oacle/client

(1) is impt as it is the parent of the other critica filesystems. And
in the adoptive node, there exists an /oracle directory. And also with
the productive SID in it. Therefore, when it fails over, they are able
to mount properly.

(2) this is tricky, as if the adoptive node has an instance, then
/oracle/client/lib is pointed to its instance library files. So now,
when the productive node fails over, there will be a situation of 2 lib
in /oacle/client.

Please advise.
