Printing PDF files

Hi,
We do have the following problem:
In the spool we have a file with the format PDF. This one is not readable in
the spool because it is binair.
Now we want to print this file. The output should be readable like you would
print it with a PDF program.
We have a 4.6c system.
We tried to create a new device with the standard ZPDF1 outputdevice.
However the outcome is still binairy.
Does anyone now a solution for this topic.
