Symptom
You send a sales order, delivery or billing document using medium 5
"external send". The E-mail is correctly sent with the corresponding
document as PDF attachment.
It is not possible to add a body text in that E-mail message.
Solution
This is the standard system behaviour. During the processing of
the output medium 5 the PDF attachment itself can be considered as
the body of the mail. Because, the result of the conversion of the body
text to a PDF document is the attachment.
You have to decide whether to send an attachment or a body text with
the
mail message.
