this is a more towards SAP standard way of doing
1) install sap instance
2) install db instance and oracle db software
3) dont load the database from the SAP CDs, therefore, from R3SETUP. 
4) ensure that oracle is fine with svrmgrl.
5) brrestore the datafiles.

Advise?
