Some Hints:
1. The installation is rpm-based and doesn't use sapinst at all.
2. NW4 is based on SAP Db.
3. The rpms come as rpm.bin. These are self-extracting archives. Simply
run them.
4. According to the install guide 11 GB are needed. This is not enough.
I used a linux system with 15 GB, which was filled to 100%. With 20 GB
the installtion went fine.
5. Don't use a distribution with a 2.6-Kernel. You need a 2.4-Kernel. So
Suse 9.0 is fine, Suse 9.1 doesn't work.
6. There is a SAP linux mailing-list. Take a look at listserv.sap.com
Regards,
Nico.
