Look at note 488345
here's the solution from this note
...:
Reason and Prerequisites
- The network connection between ITS and R/3 Gateway Host
is tested and working.
- "PING hostname.domain.com" works when calling the R/3 Gateway Host.
"PING hostname" returns with errors.
- The connection was set up using IACOR Admin's <auto> feature
(Dialog "Add New Site Connections")
Solution
Two possible solutions are:
1)Delete the Connection again and create a new one. On the Dialog
"Add New Site Connections" write the full qualified domain name in
the field "Host:" - don't use the <auto> feature there.
2)Open Registry and change the path for this IACOR Instance from:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\its\Iacor\<vITS>\<hostname>] to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\its\Iacor\<vITS>\<host.domain.com>]
After restarting service IACOR the Gateway Host should be changed
and the connection should work.
