Hi Ian,
have you considered getting some functional consultants on board? I
understand that it might be very difficult for programmers to understand
the specific data structure of a module but the module consultants really
should know.
Your problem could be solved several ways. You might want to chheck out
the logical databases (use e.g. ABAP/Query for that).
But may be (depenent on your rquirements) you should better use report
writer for your problem. There is no need of programming. Report writer
can read account balances from summary records.
And then: are you shure you want to read account balances and not cost
element totals?
