We are studying the client/server implementation methodology of various
financial applications. I recently read an article about the soon to
be released SAP R/3 that indicates it requires a database server and an
application server. Apparently Sequient and Compaq are teaming up to
offer the database and application servers respectively on Unix and NT
respectively.
- Can someone comment on the client/server architecture of SAP R/3. What
functions does the DB server do, and what does the app server do?
- Can someone provide performance information. How many peak
users/transactions are there in your environment. What is your environment?
Thanks for the help.
