Tracking competing product lines at the customer level

Is there a way to capture data about what competing product lines a
customer distributes ? For example, we have a requirement to provide
management with a listing of competing products our customers carry. That
information can be captured by our Sales account managers. However, we
are not sure how this would be accomplished in SAP. Thanks for any input
in advance.
