It is a fact, that SAP employees are using Linux, at least private.
For verifying an OSS-Bug-Report they used a Linux Box...

A Linux-GUI wouldn't be hard to create or support -- it may be
possible to get for example SuSE or Caldera involved as a support and
distribution company.

PS: Ever dreamed of running SAP-R/3 on Adabas under Linux?  THAT would
be a Good Thing[TM].
