Deletion of Vendors

We are looking for a way to delete vendors from R/3 but can't
seem to find the method. The path Purchasing-Master Data-Vendor
Control-Flag for deletion, (xk06) lets us flag vendors for
deletion but there doesn't seem to be an option to actually
remove these records. We are using 2.2c. There must be a way to
do this....any input is appreciated.
