To give you more information about my TAS problem, the material type is
HAWA for all our materials, the MRP type is PD, and I believe the MRP
group is 001 (assuming we're referring to the same SAP terminology).
However, the problem is not with the TAS item category doing an
availability check - it only creates a Purchase Requisition which can
then be converted to a Purchase Order (maintaining the direct link to
the original TAS sales order item). The problem is that an order item
with TAN item category (configured to do an avail check including
incoming Pur Reqs) is using the qty from the TAS-created Pur Req!
Does this information help any? If not, the reason is probably that
these types of questions are too complex for resolving through email,
but I thought it was worth a try. There has to be a better forum for
the many SAP problems and issues that all the customers are experiencing
during implementation...
