I'm looking for anyone that knows details about the interface between SD
and MM modules when performing availability checks. I've asked the
Walldorf R/3 Hotline about a specific problem I've experienced, and they
have given a very blunt answer with a reference to the Remote Consulting
service (sounds like a lot of red tape to me). So, I thought I would
pick any brains out there before I have to pay MORE consulting costs!
The problem in brief is that we are using Direct Ship Sales Orders (with
Item category TAS). This automatically creates a related Purchase
Requisition in MRP. We are also including purchase requisitions in our
normal availability check (for all other orders), but we do not want to
show incoming goods available for a normal order if they have been
created especially for a Direct Ship (3rd party) sales order. SAP says
this is not handled in the current configuration options and is "normal
processing behavior" which I don't necessarily agree with.
Any help out there?
