Here is a novel idea-----Can we (the SAP consultants) use this News group
for just a moment then you HEADHUNTERS can have it back.
I am attempting to configure AM depreciation areas that have a period
control of 03 (mid-period) for the depreciation start date. I have turned
on the "MID-PERIOD"
field button but I still get a original depreciation start date of
beginning of the month. I have turned on the "USE OF HALF PERIODS" in the
asset company code definition but this gives me a mid month convention for
all period controls even period control 01. I believe that this happens
because period control is tied to the fiscal year variant not to the chart
of depreciation. Can anyone help me on this issue. I want to get a start
date for depreciation for Book 01 at the beginning of the period but for
Book 02 I want a depreciation start date for Mid Period.
