You can also interface to R/2 via the SAP Automation GUI product, if you
have the CUA gateway available. This is more of a "screen scraping"
approach on R/2 than it would be on R/3. You can use the GUI Code
Generator to generate Visual Basic code as you run through R/2
transactions, but with the older R/2 application architecture it is more
difficult to program into working applications than with R/3. For more on
SAP Automation (OLE Automation connections to R/2 and R/3), see your 3.1G
presentation CD for Windows 95 or Windows NT, or see the SAP Technology web
site at http://www.saptech.com.
