Hello Jan,
there are many other possibilities to realize a remote connection to the
SAP Online Services. In Germany there are:

Infonet
EUnet
Xlink
IBM
British Telekom
ISDN ( in some weeks, it is in the Test phase)
Compuserve
Info AG

In the US there are:
Wiltel
AT&T
Sprint
MCI
Infonet
ISDN

You can get free of charge information from the number
+49-6227-34-2959. Under this number you get also cost szenarios and
a paper including all information concerning Remote connection to SAP.

There are more Services than only the access to sapserv3 for R/3 customers.
You can get remote consulting, acess to the online service system (OSS,
the problem management and information tool of SAP, EarlyWatch Service
(that's a prevention service)...

I hope this information is helpfull for you.

Regards
Margret
