Newsgroup or Job Bulletin Board?

Is it just me, or do other people think it a pity that this
newsgroup has being increasingly been used as a bulletin board by
consulting agencies offering contracts, putting people with
genuine interests, queries or concerns off this newsgroup.
I mean, after all we are not idiots, we do know what the market
is like and where to go to get a job.
For the record, I am a basis/finance consultant with 4 1/2 years
of hands-on R/2 and R/3 experience. I have answered a few
questions on this newsgroup when I can (which I admit has not
been terribly often).
To any agents: Don't even think of offering me a job!
