What is the point?!
The point is that R/3 has a distributed processing "working"
model where the data set "object" (?) are totaly integrated.
Now tell me how many systems you know of where the database/set
is as integrated and "real time" as sap r/3? And,
as a bonus many of the standard processes are distributed to
multiple/separate hosts.

I belive in R/3 - today.
