I'm having an interesting problem. From what I heard I may be a pioneer.
In SD, during a sales order, I would like to choose an item, go into Item
account assignment, and allocate the item to an internal order number. We
have specific reasons for this (some materials are being posted to cost
element accounts - thus requiring an order# / cost center) and must
absoluely be able to do this at the item level. I know how this can be
achieved on the header level - but not at the item level.
When I tried to allocate it to an internal order, I get the message
"Internal order XXX cannot be posted to a Sales Order". When I
investigated this, apparently the transaction to allow posting to a sales
order was not assigned to that Internal Order. Here's my problem: I found
the appropriate Transaction: SDOR Sales Order. And I know which Transaction
Group it needs to in: APP. But how do I assign a Transaction to a
Transaction Group. I believe that once my transaction is in this
transaction group - the system will identify that I am allowed to post an
internal order to a sales item.
Any thoughts?
