Re: restoring backed up files. I have noticed that if S-Plus for windows
is open to the directory to which you restore your files that you can't
'see' the files with S-Plus. I exit Splus then re-entered and the files
can be read.
If that doesn't work, I would use DBMSCOPY to change the S-Plus file into
another type (ascii or S-Plus again with a different name).
