I'm trying to read a couple of S figures, just plain old plots,
into a latex document and I'm having a great deal of trouble
getting them properly sized and positioned. I'm using a command
line like this:

\epsfxsize 3.5in \centerline{\epsfbox{figs/fig9a.ps}}

I thought I could play with the BoundingBox in the postscript
file a bit, but I'm confused by what I'm seeing. I thought that
the BoundingBox should be an outline around the figure area, but
when I draw it, it comes out nowhere near the picture. Is there
a coordinate transformation going on that affects the picture
region but not the BoundingBox? Is that why I can't get good
results using epsf?
