Hello everyone,

Thanks to Wendy Poston and David M. Rocke for really goods articles,
to Paul Tukey for his note and the S function chull() who will help me,
to Doug for the S function cov.mve() and to Paul Eilers for his program,
and thanks to all those who respond to me.

In the paper of Silverman and Titterington (1980), there's an exact algorithm
who give the MVE in the plane. I will program it in S soon, but i'd like
to know if someone else try to implemented this method.

Other point: in the paper of Hawkings and Simonoff (Applied Statistics, 1992),
the authors tell that their algorithm is supposed to be on Statlib, but
i did not find the program (the names are supposed to be PROGRESS and MINVAL
or something like that). (These programs are not in the packages 'ellipse' and
'robust' available on Statlib).

Thanks!
