In Splus for Windows (Placeable) Window Metafiles can be generated which,
for example, can be imported into CorelDRAW and "Ungroup"ed so that each
element can be manipulated. Export back out as a metafile and import as a
picture into MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Postscript and metafiles are both vector based, the problem with
postscript is the lack of a standard flavor that ports well.
