This is not an S+ problem, but I suspect many users have this problem. My
problem is typesetting math. I am a big LaTeX fan, but it's getting harder
and harder to be the lone LaTeX eagle in an MS Word world. The journals I
write for and the granting agencies I beg from all use Word or WordPerfect.
So my problem is finding a decent math typsetter for Word. The built-in
equation processor sucks.
I have tried EqMagic from MicroPress but it has some problems. I have seen
the product MathType on the WWW.
How well does MathType work? How does it compare to LaTeX? Are there other
math typesetting systems? Any comments will be appreciated. I will summarize
the comments for S-news.
